We engaged Engage Constructions for what was, on paper, a small apartment renovation. In reality, it was anything but simple.

We live in a ground floor apartment and wanted to remove two load bearing walls. From the outset, the process felt overwhelming. Navigating strata approvals, understanding council requirements, figuring out whether we needed an architect, and ensuring the right structural certifications were in place was complex and unfamiliar territory for us.

Nick and Chloe were incredibly generous with their time and knowledge. They walked us through every step, explained what was required, and gave us confidence that the project was not only possible but could be done properly. Having a builder with the right licences and capability to undertake Class 2 structural work, while still being willing to take on a smaller residential apartment project, is rare in this market.

We have now worked with Engage Constructions twice, first for one load bearing wall removal and then again for a second structural wall removal and a full kitchen renovation, including floors, painting and general improvements throughout the home. Both experiences were professional, well managed and thoughtfully executed.

In a market where many builders are understandably focused on larger developments, it is refreshing to find a firm that combines technical capability with genuine care for smaller scale projects. We are so glad we found them and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone undertaking structural work or renovations in an apartment setting.
